Chris Lepkowski shares what he’s heard from people with ‘significant pedigree’ about West Brom
Chris Lepkowski believes that the West Brom hierarchy is unaware of the severity of the situation that the Albion find themselves in right now.
The Baggies are fighting for Championship survival after Eric Ramsay‘s appointment has so far failed to work out.
There is growing discontent around The Hawthorns, with some even believing that Shilen Patel and Co. should make a third managerial appointment this season to avoid relegation.
West Brom are struggling for answers under Ramsay, and Lepkowski believes that a rigid hierarchy is offering little support.

Chris Lepkowski says West Brom ignored offers of help from ‘industry-wise people’
The Baggies are yet to win under Ramsay, as the fixtures don’t get any easier with league leaders Coventry City next up in the Championship.
West Brom find themselves in a surprising position, and many of the wider footballing community have been shocked to see the Black Country Club’s downfall this season.
- West Brom have 14 games left in the Championship
- Historically, teams need around 50 points to stay in the league
While speaking on The Liquidator Podcast, Lepkowski revealed how the Baggies have received offers of help for behind-the-scenes work, but haven’t even acknowledged them.
Lepkowski said: “I’ve spoken to people in recent times, people of significant pedigree, people who work in scouting, football sectors, and are industry-wise people who have actually been in touch with West Brom to help.
“They’ve not even been acknowledged, let alone a response, and I just feel at the moment we are being led by people who are completely blind and oblivious to everything that’s going on around them.”

Despite being just seven games into Ramsay’s tenure at The Hawthorns, the Baggies look void of any strategic thought, and will have to hope that their decisions to snub offers of help don’t come back to bite them.
The main stat that gives West Brom confidence from Norwich loss
West Brom have looked rather toothless going forward under Ramsay, apart from 10 minutes against Middlesbrough in his first game in charge.
That was until the FA Cup defeat to Norwich City on Saturday, as the Baggies finally showed signs of an attacking threat.
| Game | Shots | Shots on target |
| Norwich City vs WBA | 7 | 5 |
| Birmingham vs WBA | 9 | 1 |
| WBA vs Stoke City | 10 | 2 |
| Portsmouth vs WBA | 4 | 1 |
West Brom managed to get five shots on target against the Canaries, which was more combined than their last three league matches.
Although the 3-1 loss was poor on paper, it’s this type of underlying data that can be seen as a turning point, if things do start to click soon.
Time will tell, but it’s not done and dusted for Ramsay just yet.
