How to watch today’s West Brom vs Coventry City clash: TV channel and kick-off time

West Brom are set for another difficult test when they host league leaders Coventry City on Saturday.

West Brom‘s 3-1 defeat to Norwich City in the FA Cup fourth round on 14 February was a dismal showing that typified why discontent is so high among fans.

Eric Ramsay is under increasing pressure in B71, and his side have only scored four goals during his seven-game spell in charge.

And it doesn’t get easier for West Brom at The Hawthorns, as they take on a Coventry side that is on course to secure promotion to the Premier League under Frank Lampard.

Where to watch West Brom vs Coventry City

The Sky Blues may have lost the playoff final in the 2022-23 season, but this year they look set to secure automatic promotion.

Monday’s 3-1 win over Middlesbrough saw them go back to the top of the table, although there may be some hope for Ramsay as Coventry haven’t won away from home since 25 November.

The Championship clash between West Brom and Coventry will be shown live on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Football and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.

When both sides met earlier in the season, the Baggies raced into a two-goal lead before Jayson Molumby’s red card gave Coventry a lifeline.

Lampard’s side went on to win 3-2, and it was certainly one of the more painful defeats during Ryan Mason’s tenure.

Having scored 66 goals in 32 league games this season, Coventry are lethal in the final third.

Charlie Taylor and Nat Phillips will be West Brom’s most important players vs Coventry

With Chris Mepham and Krystian Bielik both injured, Ramsay has no other choice but to start Charlie Taylor and Nat Phillips at the heart of the defence.

Taylor has played as a left-back for the majority of his career, but he stepped up with a fine performance at centre-back in the 0-0 draw with Birmingham City.

Phillips has been criticised for some of his mistakes, and he can’t afford to have any lapses of concentration against Lampard’s side.

Tatsuhiro Sakamoto and Ephron Mason-Clark can cause havoc out wide, while Jack Rudoni is an aerial threat from attacking midfield.

Haji Wright scored a hat-trick against Middlesbrough, and he’ll certainly be a handful at The Hawthorns.

Both central defenders will need to be at the races on Saturday, because if they aren’t, then Coventry could run away with the match.
