Mikey Johnston electric, Josh Maja wasteful – West Brom player ratings vs Charlton
West Brom were forced to settle for a point at home to Charlton.
It was a much-improved performance from the Baggies against the Addicks, though the same issues emerged in terms of being able to make the most of their possession until the 48th minute in the first half.
George Campbell fired a header into the floor from a corner, with the ball bouncing past Thomas Kaminski to give the Baggies the lead.
But despite the constant domination from the Baggies, it was Charlton who struck next, with Lyndon Dykes finishing through the legs of Max O’Leary to level the game with 20 minutes to go.
Albion were forced to settle for a point in a 1-1 draw in the end, which does very little to aid their battle against relegation.

Mikey Johnston caused Charlton plenty of issues
Johnston had started just one of West Brom’s previous four before tonight, but he showcased why he should be in the team far more often.
Almost everything good that the Baggies did offensively came through Johnston, with the winger constantly looking to get at the Charlton defence, and doing so on several occasions.
Not everything he tried paid off, but his desire to go forward with the ball forced the visitors further and further back, which allowed space for his Albion teammates.

The only downside to his performance today was that it was his 12th game without a goal or assist, but if he can keep up that level of intensity, goals will certainly come his way.
Josh Maja fails to offer anything for West Brom
Josh Maja is a man of very few qualities, but his finishing ability is usually up there with the best in the league.
But against the Addicks, Maja missed a huge chance at 1-0 up, in what was his only real involvement in the game.
The 27-year-old won just two of his eight duels when leading the line, showcasing his inability to hold the ball up, which proved detrimental on several occasions.
He committed more fouls than he won, while also being caught offside needlessly on two occasions, in what was just a very below-average display from him.
