West Brom may have ideal Eric Ramsay succession plan in place after all
West Brom have a massive decision to make when it comes to finding Eric Ramsay’s replacement at The Hawthorns.
Ramsay became the second Albion manager to lose his job this season after Tuesday’s 1-1 draw with Charlton at The Hawthorns.
West Brom failed to win any of their nine matches with Ramsay at the helm, leaving Shilen Patel with no choice but to relieve him of his duties.
James Morrison has been placed in charge temporarily, while at the same time, former Baggies fan favourite Carlos Corberan sees his future at Valencia up in the air.
Should Albion secure their Championship future, they have a ready-made solution staring right at them.

Could Carlos Corberan to return at the end of the season?
After saving Spanish giants Valencia from relegation last term, Corberan has struggled at the Mestalla this term – rather indicative of just how far the club has fallen over the last decade.
Valencia sit just outside the relegation zone in La Liga, two points ahead of 18th-placed Mallorca, while reports suggest that Corberan’s future is in doubt.
The Spaniard was a big fan favourite in the Black Country, with Albion’s form continuing to worsen following his departure at the end of 2024.
The project under Corberan was the strongest seen at The Hawthorns since the years under Slaven Bilic, with Albion reaching the play-offs at the end of the 2023-24 season.
Should West Brom want to reset over the summer, Corberan would be the perfect man to lead the club into a new era.

The only problem is, the Baggies must secure their Championship spot.
But while many were left questioning the reported decision to keep Morrison in place until the summer, it could yet make perfect sense.
If Morrison steadies the ship over the next three months, it will give a solid platform for a dream Corberan return in the summer.
West Brom need results fast – James Morrison could provide that
Since the sacking of Ryan Mason at the turn of the year, things have gone from bad to worse for the Baggies, whose winless run continued against Charlton this week.
Former midfielder Morrison has been placed in temporary charge ahead of a massive clash with Oxford this weekend – a match in which Albion desperately need three points.
Making over 300 West Brom appearances, Morrison knows the club inside and out.
And despite his lack of experience in the role, he is someone who could galvanise the players in their time of need.
Albion missed the target with both managerial appointments this season, while Leicester and Blackburn around them opted for the experience of Gary Rowett and Michael O’Neil.
The job of Morrison now is to provide some confidence and pick up some vital points with the aim of building form until the season’s end, when the managerial decision will have to be perfect as Albion look to reset over the summer.
