West Brom need miracle to avoid Championship relegation after new reveal at The Hawthorns

West Brom have an extremely tough run of fixtures at The Hawthorns between now and the end of the season in the Championship.

The Baggies are currently without a manager following the sacking of Eric Ramsay on Wednesday.

Ramsay was in charge of the Midlands side for just nine games, but failed to pick up a single win during his time at The Hawthorns.

The final nail in the coffin of the 34-year-old came on Tuesday as West Brom could only manage a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Charlton, a result that leaves them only one point clear of the bottom three.

West Brom have horrible home run in Championship

West Brom have not won away from home in the Championship since the start of October, losing 11 and drawing two in that time.

The Midlands outfit are therefore relying on their form at The Hawthorns to get them out of trouble and avoid the drop into League One.

However, between now and the end of the season, West Brom don’t face a single side from the current bottom half at home.

The Albion take on Southampton, Hull City, Wrexham, Millwall, Watford and Ipswich Town at The Hawthorns, all games in which they will likely be the underdogs.

The Baggies are in serious trouble down at the bottom of the Championship, and must get their next managerial appointment right to have any chance of survival.

Who is the current favourite to replace Eric Ramsay?

James Morrison is now in interim charge of West Brom following the sacking of Ramsay, and will lead the Baggies into a crucial game against 23rd-placed Oxford United on Saturday.

Morrison was appointed temporarily earlier in the season when Ryan Mason was dismissed, taking just one game as manager, the penalty shootout win over Swansea City in the FA Cup.

The former Baggies midfielder is the favourite for the full-time job, currently being closely followed by Darren Moore, according to one bookmaker.
