West Brom next manager latest as Darren Moore ‘surprise’ shared and Slaven Bilic odds slashed
West Brom are still searching for a new manager after sacking Eric Ramsay last week.
The 34-year-old was dismissed the morning after the Baggies’ 1-1 draw at home to Charlton Athletic, ending his nine-game stint in charge.
James Morrison was in the dugout for Albion as they travelled to Oxford United last Saturday, but the interim boss couldn’t spark a change in fortunes, as his side were beaten 2-1 by their relegation rivals.
With the threat of League One football next season continuing to loom, West Brom News rounds up all you need to know about the Baggies’ ongoing search for a manager.
Tony Pulis has behind-the-scenes talks with James Morrison
Despite only being in temporary charge for the time being, there are some rumours that Morrison could be in line to take the full-time position until the end of the season.
Speaking to talkSPORT on 3 March, former Baggies boss Tony Pulis revealed that he’d had a conversation with Morrison about the current situation at West Brom.
Pulis revealed that there was a lot going on behind-the-scenes at The Hawthorns that people outside the club don’t see and don’t understand.
The 68-year-old added that he doesn’t want to see Albion go down this season, and hopes that they win their Championship survival battle.

Slaven Bilic sees West Brom odds slashed
It seems that Slaven Bilic emerges as a potential managerial option for West Brom every time the position becomes available, and he is once again in the running for the job.
Bilic was in charge at The Hawthorns between 2019 and 2020, guiding the Baggies back to the Premier League as Championship runners-up during his first season at the club.
The Croatian was originally a 10/1 longshot to take over when Ramsay was sacked, but according to one bookmaker, he is now the second favourite for the job.

Bilic is priced at 6/4 to take over at The Hawthorns, but is still behind another former Baggies boss, Darren Moore, who is currently at 5/4.
Sam Parkin ‘surprised’ as Darren Moore emerges as favourite
Moore is rumoured to be the most likely man to replace Ramsay until the end of the season at West Brom.
The 51-year-old was only in charge for less than 10 months in his first spell at The Hawthorns, before being sacked following a run of poor results.
Since then, Moore has had roles at Doncaster Rovers, Sheffield Wednesday, Huddersfield Town and Port Vale.
However, he is yet to be successful in the Championship, and former EFL striker Sam Parkin believes it is a surprise that Moore is a potential option for West Brom at this stage.
With games running out, though, someone may have to take a punt.
