West Brom Women vs Wolves Women: Everything fans need to know ahead of derby double-header

Things are heating up for West Brom Women.

The Baggies sit seventh in the Women’s National League Northern Premier standings after the recent 3-0 defeat to Stoke City.

Sitting firmly in mid-table, West Brom’s ambitions sit away from league action.

But the coming weeks are still set to be crucial, with a Black Country derby double-header taking place at the end of this month, across the BCFA Challenge Cup, and the league.

With this in mind, West Brom News take a look at everything supporters should know ahead of the two big derby clashes.

West Brom reactions to Stoke defeat

Albion boss Siobhan Hodgetts-Still admitted that the performance in the club’s recent defeat to Stoke was at a standard much lower than what has been set in recent weeks.

“I’m really disappointed with that performance,” she said. “To come here and get beaten 3-0, by our own standards that performance wasn’t good enough.

“We were flat in-possession, I thought Stoke wanted it more. They were the better team on the day.”

Baggies skipper Liv Rabjohn also echoed similar sentiments, saying: “It was nowhere near good enough today.

“From start to finish, we were second to things and lacked a bit of passion and desire. These aren’t the standards that we’ve set over the last few weeks.

“We’ve got to be better going forwards and it’s important that we look back at today, analyse it and build there.”

Albion face Halifax and Hull City in their next two outings, before the big cup semi-final against Wolves.

West Brom prepare for big derby double-header

The back end of March is set to be the most crucial period of the season for Albion, with a BCFA Challenge Cup semi-final against local rivals Wolves on 18 March, before they face their Black Country nemesis once again on the road on 29 March.

The Baggies secured a shock 1-0 against their rivals in the Women’s National League Cup at the start of the year, with Hannah George’s second-half header being the only goal that Dan McNamara’s side have conceded in 2026.

However, Wolves beat the Baggies 3-0 in the league’s reverse fixture back in December.

Wolves sit second in the standings, a point behind league leaders Burnley, with a game in hand.

The winners of the Birmingham Challenge Cup semi-final will face Rugby Borough in the final, after they beat Aston Villa 6-0 in their respective semi-final on Sunday.

Wolves have been formidable in the league, having won their last three matches with an aggregate scoreline of 11-0.

Albion have announced that ticket details will be announced in due course, while on the pitch, Hodgetts-Still’s side are preparing for a huge month, featuring a massive derby double header.
