James Morrison called out over ‘bonkers’ Isaac Price call in West Brom draw vs Sheffield United

West Brom fans were unhappy with James Morrison’s decision to not substitute off Isaac Price in Saturday’s draw against Sheffield United.

The Baggies drew 1-1 at Bramall Lane, leaving them sitting just outside the Championship relegation zone, with Leicester playing out a 1-1 draw against Ipswich.

George Campbell proved to be at the centre of things in South Yorkshire, with his own goal putting the Blades ahead, before he netted the late equaliser.

Price started well under Ryan Mason this season, though his form has continued to dip under both Eric Ramsay, and now Morrison.

West Brom fans were not happy with both his performance, and former midfielder Morrison for leaving the Northern Irishman on the pitch.

West Brom fans furious with Isaac Price

Price’s form has continued to dip since the season’s opening months, with his reputation among the Albion fanbase coinciding.

Supporters used Albion’s third change of the game, which saw Price stay on, as a change to slam Morrison.

“Bonkers,” one fan wrote on X.

The young midfielder joined the club from Belgian outfit Standard Liege in January 2025, and began to flourish under Mason during the season’s early days – scoring three times and registering an assist in Albion’s first three matches.

However, his reputation has soon turned among the fanbase.

While the Baggies fought back to earn a draw in South Yorkshire, familiar issues were on show once again, with Morrison’s side missing out on opportunities to take the lead before the initial own goal.

Price proved to be at the heart of this.

Price form is indicative of West Brom’s season

Price started the campaign like a house on fire, while Albion themselves were looking to be among the promotion contenders during the season’s early days.

The midfielder’s form has continued to worsen throughout the campaign, while his reputation among the fans has followed.

After a dismal period under Mason and Ramsay, Albion find themselves locked in a relegation battle – only sitting outside the drop zone due to fortune with results elsewhere on Saturday.

Price has been poor for multiple months now, and many Baggies fans may be ready to see the back of him over the summer.
