Andy Johnson amazed by ‘fantastic’ Isaac Price moment vs Sheffield United
Isaac Price featured heavily as West Brom secured a draw against Sheffield United on Saturday.
The Northern Ireland international started as James Morrison went in search of a much-needed three points to drag the Baggies out of the bottom three.
A point was enough to do exactly that when George Campbell cancelled out his own goal with a stunning strike from range.
Things could have been different for The Hawthorns outfit as Price came so close to finding the net in the second half.
The 22-year-old so nearly changed the game for the away side as Andy Johnson was left stunned by his effort at Bramall Lane.
Isaac Price so nearly scored vs Sheffield United
There have been plenty of negative reviews surrounding the attacking midfielder in recent weeks after a general lack of output and his antics away at Portsmouth.
After a stunning start to life in the Black Country last season, Price has failed to score in his last 10 games in all competitions.
That didn’t change against Sheffield United, but he certainly came close to adding a goal to his tally of six for the season so far.
The Northern Irishman took a cross-come-shot that so nearly caught out Blades goalkeeper Adam Davies at his near post.
Former Baggies ace Johnson was left stunned by Price’s effort on BBC Radio WM, all while questioning whether he had meant it.
He said: “Has he meant that? I’ve got to see the replay of this because, if he has, it’s a fantastic effort from Isaac Price. I think he has. Well, well, well.”
Price must use Johnson praise to reignite his season at West Brom
It is clear that Johnson has a belief that the midfielder can still prove himself for Albion after a string of difficult performances.
He has six goals and two assists this season in the Championship, but that really should be higher for a player of his quality.

There were questions of what level he could reach in B71 earlier in the season, so it is a shame that the feeling around him has changed so much.
He may have meant to cross the ball against Sheffield United, but regardless, he needs to use it to propel his campaign.
