West Brom offer goodwill gesture to fans ahead of ‘massive’ Blackburn Rovers clash

West Brom are looking ahead to an important run-in towards the end of the Championship season.

The Baggies secured a 1-1 draw away to Sheffield United last time around to bring some much-needed positivity to The Hawthorns.

George Campbell’s strike meant a point returned to B71 ahead of a double header against Southampton and Hull City in the next two home outings.

Further down the line, an away clash to face Blackburn Rovers awaits, with a potential allocation of over 7,000 potentially on offer at Ewood Park.

West Brom have now confirmed ticket details and revealed they will be offering free coach travel to any travelling supporters.

West Brom reveal free coach travel offer

There has been some toxicity between fans and players in recent months, but none of that was on show at Bramall Lane last time out.

Campbell’s strike brought everyone closer together, and it looks as if the Albion are doing their best to maintain a positive relationship.

Free coach travel to Blackburn is a goodwill gesture that should go down well, even if fans do have to pay an ironic £5 deposit.

Those who make the trip on the coach to Ewood Park, with seats available via the ticket website and from the East Stand Ticket Office, will be refunded that fee.

That is only a boost ahead of an Easter Monday clash against Michael O’Neill’s side, one that has been described by Express and Star journalist Matt Maher as “massive”.

There is no doubt that, especially with four Championship outings between now and then, that could have a huge say on the relegation battle.

James Morrison needs to lean on supporters right now

The Baggies are certainly in a difficult situation right now and seriously need things to turn around in the coming weeks.

A point away to Sheffield United was massive and showed there is still some fight left in this squad.

The atmosphere among the travelling supporters was excellent, and offering free travel should only help improve that at Ewood Park.

James Morrison has the perfect opportunity to get the best out of this squad, and with the fans behind him, that should only take a step up.
