Isaac Price is back: How West Brom are set for timely on-field lift ahead of crucial Championship run-in

West Brom’s 3-0 win over Hull City on Saturday brought Baggies fans many huge positives, as Isaac Price was one of them.

Albion grabbed their first league victory of 2026, drawing the end of a disastrous stretch of winless games under Ryan Mason, Eric Ramsay, and now James Morrison.

But one thing the interim boss has brought to The Hawthorns is fight, and he looks to have gotten his best players back in the groove of things again, including Price.

The attacking midfielder broke his 11-game run without scoring, as West Brom could be set for a huge boost from his return to form at the exact right time.

Isaac Price was dynamite vs Hull City; the stats prove it

The Baggies felt hard done by not having taken three points from their previous Championship fixture against Southampton, but there was no heartbreak time time round.

Price scored in the fourth minute of stoppage time, as Albion now find themselves out of the relegation zone for the first time in weeks, one point in front of Oxford United, and two from Leicester City.

As highlighted by Sofascore in the graphic below, Price managed to grab an 8.3 match score for his much-improved display, looking far more like his best version from earlier in the season.

The 22-year-old made four key passes, including one big chance, as his seven efforts on goal finally paid off with his penultimate shot in the 94th minute finding its way past Ivor Pandur.

He also won five ground duels, making two tackles, showing his determination to help West Brom get over the line, silencing his doubters.

This Price stat shows West Brom will stay up through his form

Price was on fire in the early stages of the campaign, scoring for both club and country, and leading what Baggies fans initially thought was a promotion-chasing season.

However, a turn in form saw the attacker fall out of favour with some West Brom supporters, and was even caught in a verbal altercation with travelling fans after the loss to Portsmouth in January.

Isaac Price in first four games of season

Price has five goal contributions in West Brom’s first four games of the season, which showed how good he can be when feeling confident.

Now with a goal and the fans back behind him, the Baggies could see a comfortable end to the campaign through the potential resurgence of Price.
