West Brom must accelerate Danny Imray transfer efforts as stats showcase improvement
West Bromwich Albion face a no-brainer decision over the future of Danny Imray.
Having at one point looked destined for League One, it’s a huge achievement for the Baggies to have secured survival with two games to spare.
James Morrison deserves immense credit for the job he has done since taking over from Eric Ramsay, as do several of the players who have improved massively under his stewardship.
Imray has certainly proven his worth under Morrison, having played a crucial role in their recent resurgence.
And his own turn around will certainly have West Brom keen on a permanent deal.

Danny Imray question must be asked
In his first few games, Imray looked lost, though the same could be said about nearly every player for West Brom.
But over time, his performances improved, with the Crystal Palace loanee now thriving at The Hawthorns.
| Championship | Imray |
| Games | 14 |
| Goals | 1 |
| Assists | 2 |
| Chances created | 8 |
| Duels won | 58 |
Imray’s attacking impetus has been key to Albion’s revival, with the full-back ranking among the top 5.1 per cent of players in the Championship for successful dribbles per 90.
Despite having played just 936 minutes, Imray has managed two goals and an assist in the Championship, having managed one of each in the 3-0 win over Watford.

At just 22 years old, he still has plenty of improvement ahead of him, and the Baggies will maintain hope that it will be with them.
Do West Brom have a chance to sign Imray?
Imray has no future at Crystal Palace, as good as he has been for West Brom this season.
However, his performances will have attracted interest from several other Championship clubs, and potentially even some of them set to be relegated from the Premier League.
The Baggies will certainly face a battle in their attempts to keep him at The Hawthorns, but they must at least ask the question.
