Grady Diangana suffers West Brom pre-season injury blow

West Brom have confirmed that Grady Diangana has sustained a calf injury, sidelining him for several weeks.

Despite the setback, the DR Congo international is expected to return to training before the Championship season starts.

The Baggies kick off their campaign against QPR away on August 10.

In an official statement on their website on Tuesday (July 9), the club said: "Albion can confirm Grady Diangana has sustained a calf injury which will see him sidelined for weeks.

"Wishing you a speedy recovery, Grady."

Grady Diangana linked with a move away from West Brom

The Hammers had reportedly made an offer of £7million with an extra £3million possible in add-ons.

Other teams like Wolves, Brighton, Leicester, and even Italian giants Lazio and Roma are also said to have been keen.

Diangana had a good season last time out with seven goals and eight assists, which has caught a lot of attention.

Grady Diangana could leave West Brom this summer

He recently played for DR Congo in the 2024 Africa Cup of Nations, which boosted his profile. And, even though he has had ups and downs, a move could give him a fresh start.
