Jed Wallace October update emerges as West Brom face new injury blow
West Brom attacker Jed Wallace is unlikely to star regularly until October post his injury, according to Dr Rajpal Brar.
The injury expert claims that the 30-year-old's setback appears to seem worse than first feared, which will be a blow for the Baggies.
This comes after DOOD reported on 8 August that scans have revealed Wallace could be out for up to seven weeks.
Reacting to this development, injury expert Dr Brar – who is a physical therapy specialist and sports scientist – has told West Brom News:
"Initially, things don't seem bad and then scans reveal that they're a lot more serious than first feared.
"It can be hard to tell severity in the early days so sometimes lesser severity things can actually be higher severity once the dust settles.
"Return to training will typically be a week and a half prior to his return.
"I don't see him starting week in and week out until October as he's likely to play a few bounce games."
West Brom will miss Jed Wallace's quality in the final third
Wallace's injury and subsequent absence for up to seven weeks is a significant blow for the Baggies.
As a key player in the team, his absence will be felt on the pitch.
His creativity, vision and ability to score goals will be sorely missed.
This is particularly concerning given the club's ambitions to push for promotion this season and Carlos Corberan will now need someone else to step up to the task in the final third.
