Mikey Johnston sees consultant as worrying West Brom injury news emerges
Mikey Johnston continues to struggle with injury at West Bromwich Albion.
The Republic of Ireland international did provide supporters with hope when he featured in the season opener.
He came on with 25 minutes to go as the Baggies secured a 4-1 Carabao Cup win away to Rotherham United.
That marked the first time he had featured competitively since February.
The winger had made appearances in pre-season and looked to be making progress in his recovery.
Johnston is now facing a setback and his frustration is only continuing at The Hawthorns.

Having the ex-Celtic man back available regularly would certainly serve as a massive boost to the Albion.
He scored two and assisted nine last season, despite his season being cut-short by injury.
That problem continues to hamper him and is now causing further problems in B71.
James Morrison has confirmed that Johnston has faced a setback ahead of West Brom's meeting with Watford.
Speaking in his pre-match press conference on Friday, he said: "We’re just waiting on Mikey, which I know is frustrating, everyone wants answers, but it’s just taking a little bit of time, so we’ll give you the answers when we have them.
"He’s just with the consultant, trying to get to the bottom of it. He just had a little bit of a flare up, we’ll continue to be patient."
"It would be nice to have him because the other night [against Charlton] he’d be perfect for the game."
That certainly isn't good news and raises further concern over Johnston's future.
What does Johnston's setback mean for West Brom?
It is unfortunate that the Irishman looks set for an increased spell on the sidelines.
His impact on the flank would certainly make a difference and is certainly on Morrison's mind.
The plus point is that Johnston's absence is giving the Baggies a chance to remain consistent with Isaac Price in a wide area.
He has been effective off the left and has played a role in everything good about the B71 outfit this campaign.
It will also afford opportunities for an incoming signing like Kareem Tunde to come in and get some early minutes under his belt.
Morrison won't want the forward to be missing for too much longer, but he seems to be facing longer than expected on the treatment table.
