Some West Brom fans want 21-year-old winger Nick Clayton-Phillips to be given a chance in the first team now his loan spell at Solihull Moors is over.

Clayton-Phillips only made one substitute appearance during his loan spell but several fans want to see him start against Blackpool in the FA Cup.

The game at Bloomfield Road presents a great chance for new boss Sam Allardyce to get a first win as Baggies head coach under his belt.

While a cup run will be the last thing on the mind of many Baggies fan, a win against League One opposition is expected.

The Tangerines may fancy their chances against Albion with the Premier League club in a desperately poor run of form.

Many Baggies fans have had enough of the current first-team players and want to see new blood given a chance in the future.

On Monday, the club announced that Clayton-Phillips had returned to The Hawthorns after an unsuccessful spell with non-league side Solihull Moors.

Following this news, some fans claimed that they want to see the youngster get first-team minutes.

One fan labelled the current crop of first-team players as 'overpaid idiots' while others pondered the benefits of starting a young player with plenty to prove.

Here is how some West Brom fans reacted to the news that Clayton-Phillips is back at the club...

It is doubtful that a player who struggled at non-league level will be chosen to play for Albion but in this weird season, who knows?
