Ex-West Brom boss increasingly likely to be next Leeds manager, odds slashed as dressing room lost
Carlos Corberan is in line to return to Elland Road to replace Daniel Farke as Leeds United's manager.
Corberan is currently in charge of Valencia, but the former West Brom manager is struggling in La Liga, with the Spanish giants sitting in 17th place with just two wins in 10 games.
The 42-year-old was hired by Leeds in June 2017 as their Under-23s manager before becoming a first-team coach under Marcelo Bielsa.
He went on to manage Huddersfield and Olympiacos before heading to The Hawthorns to take charge of the Baggies between October 2022 and December 2024.
Corberan left West Brom for Valencia on Christmas Eve last year and despite an impressive debut season at the Mestalla, the ex-Albion boss is seemingly running out of steam at his boyhood club.

Corberan has reportedly lost the dressing room at Valencia, with speculation that a loss in his next game against Levante on 21 November could result in him being sacked less than a year after leaving the Black Country.
Meanwhile, in West Yorkshire, Leeds fans are rapidly losing faith in Farke after their defeat to Nottingham Forest at the weekend.
That's led to the bookmakers opening the market on who could replace Farke at Elland Road and Corberan is a contender.
One major bookmaker has slashed the odds on Corberan being the next Leeds manager to 12/1. However, ex-RB Leipzig boss Marco Rose (13/8) is the current favourite, ahead of Brendan Rodgers (5/2) and Steven Gerrard (8/1).
What Marcelo Bielsa privately told Carlos Corberan about management
Leeds legend Bielsa was always a big fan of Corberan.
When he first arrived in England, he dubbed the Spanish a "very talented" coach as he oversaw Leeds' return to the Premier League after almost two decades in the EFL.
Speaking to the Express & Star just over a year ago, Corberan revealed how Bielsa helped him settle into his first job in management at Huddersfield.
"I remember in my first year I call Bielsa to say 'Marcelo, I don't know how you are many years in this work because I am six months in and I have two feelings - relief or suffer. If you are telling me to enjoy then I don't see it a lot'," Corberan said.

It's fair to say that Corberan has endured plenty of highs and lows in his relatively young managerial career, having taken West Brom to the play-offs a year and a half after they had been threatened with relegation to League One, while also keeping Valencia in La Liga, only to see them in trouble once again.
