Grady Diangana has raved about John Swift after what he did for West Brom in the victory over Sheffield Wednesday on Tuesday (3 October).

The 28-year-old scored the only goal of the game with a lovely strike into the top corner on 13 minutes to secure the Baggies a 1-0 win over the Owls at the Hawthorns.

Albion posted a picture of the midfielder on their Instagram after the game, with Diangana sharing it on his Instagram story and adding the caption "what a player".

West Brom

Pivotal

There is absolutely no doubt about the fact that Swift is pivotal to this West Brom side and he proved that once again against Sheffield Wednesday.

He arrived in the box at just the right time to send a right-footed effort into the top corner after being picked out with a cross from Jed Wallace.

The attacking midfielder pulled the strings for Albion throughout the evening, looking dangerous every time he picked the ball up coming in off the land-hand flank.

West Brom

The goal against the Owls takes Swift onto five for the campaign in the Championship and means he's only one strike behind his tally from last season.

Diangana clearly recognises that his teammate is an excellent player and he, as well as everyone else associated with the club, will be hoping he can maintain his form over the coming weeks to help the Baggies continue their rise up the table.
