Jayson Molumby could miss the start of the Championship season for West Brom after being charged by the FA for his fight against Mallorca, according to The Mirror.

The Newspaper reported on 4 August that the Ireland international has been hit with an FA charge which could see him receive a ban.

This comes after the 24-year-old lashed out at Mallorca’s Samu Costa in a friendly against the La Liga outfit on 27 July.

After already losing Brandon Thomas Asante in the past week, losing Molumby would certainly prove to be a blow.

This will be the case even after his antics in the friendly against Mallorca in an incident that came out of the blue.

To see a player with the level of experience he has showing that sort of behaviour in a friendly was bizarre and isn’t going to be forgotten any time soon.

This has been shown by West Brom fans chanting about the Irishman in their side's disappointing 4-1 defeat to Birmingham City on Saturday (3 August).

Considering that Molomby featured in the friendly suggests that Corberan isn't worried about the preseason flashpoint.

This could point towards him being a regular feature at the Hawthorns next season and reduce the chances of a move to Millwall.
