West Brom fans are furious with a report by the Mirror which claims that the club is interested in hiring Lee Bowyer as a replacement for under-fire Slaven Bilic.

The newspaper reported on Thursday night that the Baggies "could make a shock move" for the Charlton manager with Bilic yet to oversee a win in the Premier League this season.

Even though a lot of supporters were calling for the Croatian manager's head after the 2-0 defeat away at Fulham on Monday night, it seems that Bowyer would not be a popular replacement if Albion to opt to start a new manager hunt.

Charlton were relegated from the Championship with Bowyer in charge last season and the Addicks currently sit third in League One after playing 10 matches.

Last year, before West Brom hired Bilic, they were reported to wanted talks with the former Leeds and West Ham midfielder [Express & Star].

While Bowyer might have been alright for a Championship club, supporters of the now-Premier League club are not interested in the Addicks boss at all.

Here is a selection of their tweets:

West Brom shouldn't even be considering sacking Bilic.

He took this club back to the Premier League and managed to improve the squad on a very tight budget alongside Luke Dowling.

If Albion get relegated, it's because of said budget and not because of the manager, who's already proven himself in the Premier League in the past.
