A section of West Brom fans have taken to Twitter to heap praise on Jake Livermore for his performance in the 2-0 win against Millwall at The Den on Sunday.

Albion moved four points clear at the top of the Championship table with one of their most impressive performances of the season despite Storm Ciara playing a major role on the fixture.

Despite the high winds and pelting rain, Livermore was one of the stand-out players in the Baggies' midfield and fans have been all over social media raving about the 30-year-old captain.

According to stats by WhoScored, Livermore only completed 59 per cent of his passes on Sunday afternoon. It hardly makes for impressive reading but the impact of the storm could have hindered his passing ability as that completion percentage was his fourth-lowest of the Championship season.

However it wasn't Livermore's passing that wowed Albion supporters.

The ex-Tottenham midfielder made two tackles, one interception and even though his pass completion was low, he still managed to create attacking chances with two key passes.

It was a tough match against a tough team but Livermore stood up to the task well and captained the Baggies to a well-deserved three points.

Here is a selection of tweets by fans who have been raving about the central midfielder on Twitter:
