Stan Collymore shared an image of a cabbage on Twitter as West Brom lost 4-0 to Nottingham Forest at the City Ground on Monday night.

Steve Bruce had a cabbage thrown at him in 2018 during the late stages of his spell in charge at Aston Villa.

Ex-Villa and Forest forward Collymore didn't post any words in his tweet but the image of the infamous Villa Park cabbage incident spoke volumes about what Bruce was going through with the Baggies on Easter Monday.

Off you go, Bruce

West Brom sacked Valerien Ismael because his rotten style of football was getting absolutely nothing out of a rotten bunch of players.

Bruce, who'd had rotten stints at Villa and Newcastle prior to his arrival at The Hawthorns, hasn't managed to turn things around.

Who'd have thought it would have turned out the way it has done?

Albion, if anything, have got worse under Bruce.

West Brom

It was really bad when Ismael was in charge but this is something else.

Our players look even more lost than they were before because at least when Ismael was in charge there was some kind of hint of a gameplan or a tactical approach.

It just seems like Bruce sends his players out to do whatever they like in each game and that's led to completely disjointed performances on multiple occasions.

West Brom's squad is meant to be one of the best in the league but it's on course for a bottom-half finish.

It's exactly what this bunch of over-paid chancers deserve.
