West Brom fans booed Steve Bruce's decision to bring Matt Phillips on in the draw against Coventry on Saturday afternoon.

That's according to The Athletic's Steve Madeley who was in attendance for the 0-0 game.

Phillips replaced Taylor Gardner-Hickman and that decision was not taken too well by the supporters.

Via his personal Twitter account, Madeley wrote, "Phillips replaces Gardner-Hickman. Muted boos at that decision but in truth he hasn't been at his best today."

The players cannot seem to wait for the end of the season.

Their lack of desire is obvious each time they step on to the field of play.

There is no hunger or eagerness to go out there and fight for the shirt as there realistically is nothing to play for.

Some of the players are mentally on the beach planning their summer vacations.

Bruce must take responsibility for this as he's let them take their feet off the pedal.

Coming in as a promotion specialist, he certainly has failed to live up to the billing.

His results so far have been underwhelming, to say the least and it's baffling that the club want him to continue next season.

Something certainly needs to change once the season gets over.
