West Brom will be hoping to keep up their unbeaten run against Birmingham on Saturday.

The Baggies return to Championship action on 10 October against their local rivals after the extended international break.

James Morrison's side have not lost in their last three matches against the Blues, with one win and two draws.

Before that, they had suffered four straight defeats at the hands of the St Andrew's outfit.

Albion will be keen to secure victory and bounce back from a 1-0 defeat to arch-rivals Wolves last time out.

Now, a new prediction has been made about the outcome of the upcoming contest.

What has the supercomputer predicted in West Brom vs Birmingham clash

West Brom will be looking to get back to winning ways, and continue their impressive start to the second tier season.

The Opta Analyst supercomputer believes that Albion will take all three points.

Morrison's side have been handed a 43.8 per cent chance to win the clash by the model.

The Blues are predicted to have a 30.9 per cent chance of victory at The Hawthorns.

The draw is the least likely outcome, with a 25.2 per cent chance of happening.

That is encouraging for the Throstles, but they have to turn up on the pitch too.

How injuries and fitness could tip the balance

The fitness of the Baggies players could affect the outcome, with several key players coming back from intense international schedules.

George Campbell and Jayson Molumby are the obvious names in that regard.

The former played on 7 October in the United States' 1-0 win over Canada, while the latter played a total of 295 minutes in the break.

Nolan Galves and Mikey Johnson are out for the contest, with no return date in sight.

Tammer Bany may be available for Morrison, though, as he came on late in Jordan's clash with Syria then got another 25 minutes in the bag against Venezuela.

Meanwhile, Birmingham have Max Bird, Taylor Gardner-Hickman and Demarai Gray available.

However, Paik Seung-ho is expected to miss out with a knock, but he is the only expected absence.

That could tip the balance in Chris Davies' side's favour, with all of their international players coming back without issues.
