The 'unbelievable' trait that James Morrison loves about West Brom new boy Rabby Nzingoula

West Bromwich Albion boosted their midfield options with the addition of Rabby Nzingoula earlier this week.

The 20-year-old midfielder joined from Strasbourg in a deal reportedly worth around £2million on a three-year deal.

Nzingoula's signing meant the Baggies allowed Alex Mowatt to head for Championship rivals Derby County ahead fo the new Championship campaign.

Baggies fans could get their first glimpse of the France Under-20 midfielder in Saturday's Championship season-opener at Norwich City.

Baggies boss James Morrison has been talking up the attributes of Nzingoula ahead of the clash at Carrow Road.

And there is one aspect in particular that Morrison is really impressed by in terms of Nzingoula's attributes.

Aged just 20, there is an acceptance that Nzingoula arrives at The Hawthorns as somehwat of a work in progress.

But the fact that West Brom saw off competition from Swansea City to sign the youngster, there is clearly a player who is well thought of.

Moreover, the fact he can play as a more deep-lying midfielder or as a more advanced option, makes him extremely useful to the squad.

It may take time for Nzingoula to adjust to the Championship, but Morrison described his physicality as "unbelievable", which should help him adapt to England's second tier.

In quotes reported by the Express & Star, Morrison said: "He's got many attributes, but physically he's unbelievable.

“So hopefully we can get him up to speed and then be ready for the squad.

“Sometimes your eye doesn't lie and some things catch your eye rather than others. Rabby’s caught our eye and we believe he'll fit into the team really well."

What is West Brom's recent record against Norwich City like?

Morrison produced a rescue act to keep West Brom in the second tier last term, which saw his interim spell made permanent.

This time around, though, there will be an expectation to have West Brom competing at the top end of the Championship.

West Brom will hope to get off to a flier at Carrow Road, but have won just one of the past five meetings between the two teams in all competitions.

However, that victory did at least come in a 1-0 triumph in last season's corresponding fixture, so that should give some confidence for Albion against Philippe Clement's charges.
