West Brom blew Alan Brazil away with their "fantastic" comeback to claim all three points against Huddersfield Town in the Championship.

Carlos Corberan's side strengthened their grip on a play in the playoff this season with an excellent 4-1 win at the John Smith's Stadium on Sunday (10 March) thanks to goals from Mikey Johnston, Kyle Bartley and Okay Yokuslu.

The Baggies were nowhere near their best in the first-half but hit their stride after half-time and talkSPORT host Brazil has admitted he has been impressed by Albion's defensive record so far this season.

Speaking on talkSPORT on Monday (11 March, 6:57) he said: "West Brom, I think defensively, I don't know if they still have it, but West Brom had the best defence in the Championship and they are hard to break down.

"When they went 1-0 down, I was really surprised but they came back. Fantastic."

Will Carlos Corberan guide West Brom to the Premier League this season?

West Brom have been in fine form so far this season and while they weren't at their best on Sunday, they still managed to produce moments of magic in the second half at the John Smith's Stadium to claim all three points.

The Baggies will almost certainly be in the playoffs come the end of the season, the question for Corberan and his side will be whether or not they have enough to beat the teams around them to win promotion.

So far this season, Albion have shown that they can beat the likes of Leeds United, thanks mainly to their defensive strength. But the addition of Mikey Johnston in the January transfer window has given the Baggies' attack a new dimension.

Hopefully, Corberan can continue to produce the magic that will get supporters and pundits like Brazil out of their seats and if the Baggies can maintain this run, they could be set for a surprise return to the Premier League.
