Mark Halsey has raged over a controversial incident in the West Brom game against QPR on Wednesday (6 March).

The ex-FIFA and Premier League official tweeted on Wednesday his disbelief at the referee not awarding a foul on Rs winger Paul Smyth for what he believed to be a "clear shirt pull" by Albion fullback Pipa.

He added that he doesn't know how the officials missed the incident, with the two sides playing out a 2-2 draw in a game full of contentious decisions at Loftus Road.

West Brom fortunate with decisions against QPR

It was one of many decisions throughout the game that the QPR fans were absolutely furious about as they felt they didn't get the rub of the green from the officials.

It was pretty baffling how the referee or the linesman didn't manage to see the foul by Pipa, even though it happened just in front of the assistant.

While Albion will argue that the decision to award a penalty against Adam Reach for handball was harsh, they were extremely fortunate to not give away another spot-kick when Cedric Kipre tipped a goal-bound effort over the bar with his hand.

The Baggies would have been hoping to kick on in the second half after going in 2-1 up at the break, but they would have been pleased to come away with a point after the Rs' excellent second-half display.

Carlos Corberan will know that his side stand a great chance of making the playoffs this season if they can win their home games and continue to remain unbeaten on the road.
