West Brom crashed out of the Carabao Cup with a 2-1 loss to Fleetwood Town on Tuesday (13 August).

No Albion player covered themselves in glory on what was an evening to forget at Highbury Stadium.

Aston Villa loanee Lewis Dobbin was one of many who struggled before being taken off after 72 minutes.

The youngster lost the ball in the build-up to Fleetwood's second goal, which proved to be the winner.

And Dobbin came in for particular criticism among the fanbase come full-time in Lancashire.

Many were quick to respond to a question posed by an Aston Villa fan on X [13 August] as he asked for a summary of Dobbin's performance.

One simply responded with a thumbs down emoji, while another said he was "not great".

There were more damning comments to come, though, as one labelled his performance "woeful" and another said he "looked like he didn't even want to be there".

West Brom switch focus back to the Championship on Saturday (17 August) with a showdown against Leeds United at The Hawthorns.
