Shilen Patel became the first West Brom chairman to attend an Albion Assembly meeting on Thursday.

Albion's American owner flew into the UK on 15 August to speak to and listen to fans about the Black Country club [Express & Star].

Since buying West Brom from Guochuan Lai in February, Patel has proven to be a popular figure at The Hawthorns and his latest interaction with members of the Albion Assembly seems to have only strengthened his relationship with the support.

It remains to be seen what Patel exactly spoke about with the Albion Assembly but based on social media posts after the meeting, there's a lot to be positive about.

One fan said that "Shilen came across well and was honest about the challenges" while another said "he spoke with pure passion".

It remains to be seen when the Baggies will release the minutes of the meeting with Patel but the club has been criticised in the past for waiting too long to publish them on their official website.

In August 2022, the Albion Assembly met with Steve Bruce and Ron Gourlay but waited a month before putting the minutes on their website. Even then, they weren't exactly minutes and it was more like a summary of what had been said.
