West Brom are set to hold talks with Tony Mowbray after being given the all-clear to return to management, according to Talkwba.

The Baggies insider reported to X on 15 January that the 61-year-old is keen to return to work and has been given the all-clear after recent health troubles.

Albion and the former Sunderland boss are keen to make a deal happen and talks are now expected to take place at The Hawthorns over the vacant head coach role.

Tony Mowbray to hold talks at West Brom

The experienced manager is well-regarded in the West Midlands after such a positive time as manager during his first spell between 2006 and 2009.

Since departing B71, Mowbray has gained plenty of experience and had many positive stints as head coach at various clubs.

Spells with Celtic, Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland were particular high points which he could look to replicate if he returns to the Baggies this month.

After links to the likes of Raphael Wicky and Urs Fischer, the experienced EFL coach would represent a stable manager choice after weeks of uncertainty.
