Clinton Morrison slammed West Brom ace Jayson Molumby for giving the ball away too often as Republic of Ireland lost to England.

The Republic of Ireland were humiliated by the Three Lions at Wembley on 17 November as they were demolished 5-0 in their Nations League clash.

Speaking on BBC Radio Five Live (17 November, 17:19pm), Morrison shared his thoughts on the performance of the West Brom man.

"Republic of Ireland are not comfortable in possession," he said. "Looking at Jayson Molumby and Josh Cullen they are giving the ball away too often.

"At international level if you give possession away you might not touch it again for four minutes".

West Brom ace Jayson Molumby did himself no favours

Throughout the vast majority of the game, England dominated the Republic of Ireland's midfielders and Molumby was arguably one of their worst on the day.

Not only was the West Brom man poor in possession but he also seemed fairly weak on the ball, and the small bust-up between himself and Harry Kane that saw him receive a yellow card was the cherry on top of the cake.

The Baggies' midfield over the last couple of games has left a lot to be desired so in reality, you'd have expected Molumby to try and put in a good performance in order to impress Carlos Corberan.

Albion are still well positioned in the Championship despite a recent wobble, but they'll need players like Molumby to step up and perform consistently if the aim of promotion is to be achieved.
