West Brom youngster Reyes Cleary is rated very highly at the club, according to Express and Star journalist Luke Hatfield.

Hatfield claims that it's a good sign that a big club is interested in his services and waxed lyrical of his current form.

He told GIVEMESPORT, “By the sounds coming out of the club, they rate him highly. He looks like a player who knows where the back of the net is at youth level.

"We’ll see how he develops, of course, because plenty of youngsters shine at that level, and maybe don’t kick on to the first-team setup and manage to do that.

“But we’ll see what happens with him. It can only be a good sign that clubs are interested and are being linked with him.”

Shining star

Cleary has showcased what a fantastic job the West Brom youth coaches are doing with players on the cusp of breaking into the senior side.

The 17-year-old has already found himself on the radar of a Champions League side in Germany.

We're certain that if he continues performing the same way this season, there's going to be a queue of top clubs wanting to sign him.

This would give the Baggies a huge advantage as they can hike his price and spark a bidding war for his services.

If the Baggies get promoted to the Premier League, which seems likely given their start to the season, then there's a good chance his value will be inflated even further.

While we would like the best young players to stay at the club, it can get impossible to keep them at times as they could play Champions League football elsewhere within a few years.
