West Bromwich Albion return to Championship action when they host Wrexham at The Hawthorns on Friday.

The Baggies emphatically beat Hull City 3-0 in their last match at The Hawthorns, ending their incredible winless run in the league of 13 games.

West Brom followed that up with a 1-0 win over Bristol City, and James Morrison's side now sit four points clear of the drop zone in 20th place.

Up next for Albion is a home clash against Phil Parkinson's Wrexham, who have won two of their last three matches and sit seventh in the table.

West Brom can't afford to lose against Wrexham, and here's everything you need to know ahead of the match.

Wrexham (last six games all comps): W L W L L W

Head-to-head

In fact, West Brom and Wrexham have only faced each other three times in their competitive history, with the Baggies winning 3-2 in the reverse fixture in August.

The Baggies also won 2-1 in the Watney Cup - a short-lived competition in the 1970s - in 1971, while the Welsh outfit prevailed in an FA Cup meeting in 1930.

While not much can be said about their limited head-to-head record, the Baggies know that a win over Parkinson's men would be a huge boost to their survival hopes.

And Morrison will be desperate for his side to secure their third victory over Wrexham in the fourth meeting between the two teams.

Team news and predicted lineups

Morrison has found a settled starting lineup that finally started to perform in the week before the international break.

Josh Griffiths is expected to remain in goal, while George Campbell and Nat Phillips will continue to start alongside each other in defence.

There could be a change up front, with Daryl Dike coming in for Josh Maja, but the rest of the side will likely remain unchanged.

As for Wrexham, they have no big injury worries, and Parkinson will relish the prospect of having a fit squad to choose from.

West Brom predicted XI: Griffiths; Imray, Phillips, Campbell, Styles; Molumby, Diakite; Wallace, Price; Dike, Heggebo

Wrexham predicted XI: Okonkwo; Cleworth, Hyam, Doyle; Kabore, Vyner, Dobson, Thomason; Broadhead, Windass; Smith

We say: West Brom 1-1 Wrexham

Although both teams are fighting at different ends of the table, it's the Baggies who will feel more confident going into the match.

Back-to-back wins and clean sheets have done West Brom the world of good, and their 4-4-2 formation is working wonders under Morrison.

Wrexham can't be underestimated, as they appear determined to secure a playoff spot to ensure they have a chance of making history by earning promotion for the fourth consecutive season.

Of course, they'll need to get past teams like West Brom away from home, which will be no easy task.

Therefore, a 1-1 draw could be the most likely outcome, and that point could prove to be extremely valuable for both sides at the end of the campaign.
