'Whatever happens' - Bilic claims behind-the-scenes WBA duo have plans for next season

West Brom boss Slaven Bilic has claimed that Mark Jenkins and Luke Dowling have a plan for next season no matter what happens.

The Croatian heaped praise on the behind-the-scenes duo, claiming that whichever division the Baggies are in, they will be ready to take action.

West Brom are currently in the driving seat for promotion, with everything in their hands with only five games left in the Championship.

Bilic singled out Jenkins, in particular for his role at the Hawthorns, claiming his ambitions are great for the club's future.

"The club is very well managed – I don’t mean on the turf with me – I mean the club, not the team, the club," he told the Express and Star.

"With the owners but with Mark especially and Luke Dowling.

"Mark is very experienced. He is very hungry, very ambitious but he is also stable. He knows the job. He isn’t a person that tries things. He knows what to do. He knows what to do in this scenario and in that scenario.

"He already has a plan for next year – whatever happens. He is even making me believe in how to do things. He is very stable."

With the coronavirus pandemic continuing to effect football, the financial market has never been more fragile in the Football League.

Take Wigan, for example, they have gone into administration and it could not be long until many other clubs follow that suit, so these comments from Bilic will go down a treat to every Baggies fan.

Earning promotion to the Premier League would put the Albion in a great financial spot, there is no hiding from that, but to have the peace of mind that they would be stable with another year outside of it could make all the difference.
