West Bromwich Albion should return for former target Chiedozie Ogbene, with Ipswich Town allowing him to leave on loan.

Now, according to journalist Darren Witcoop, who boasts 12,900 followers on X, Ipswich are "willing" to let Ogbene head out on loan

The information shares that numerous Championship clubs are in the mix.

Last season was not an ideal campaign for the Irishman out on loan at Sheffield United, with a hamstring injury halting his progress.

After that injury healed up, Ogbene would only play 39 league minutes for the Blades from January onwards, but his quality was clear on the international stage.

Thanks to his pace and power, he has emerged as a star for the Republic of Ireland over the last few years, with him often being asked to run the channels across the whole frontline.

His performance against Portugal in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers was a particular standout in that regard.

Ogbene offeres Morrison multiple tactical options

On top of his on the pitch traits, Morrison would certainly join the benefit of Ogbene's versatility.

Across his career, the 29-year-old has played over the whole front line, ranging from right-wing, left-wing and even down the middle as a striker.

Ogbene is also capable of playing as a wing-back should that be required at any point in B71

The Irishman though, is best in the those forward positions thanks to that unique combination of speed and strength, and has admitted so in the past.

In 2022, via RTE, he said: "I really enjoy that position, up higher on the pitch, I think my teammates like me up there, I can be that outlet for them if we are under pressure.

"I enjoy going in behind and running at defenders, running towards goal, that's where I want to be."

And that explosiveness is something that rival defenders would certainly not enjoy coming up against offering West Brom a dangerous weapon.
