Future of West Brom star uncertain after recent events at London club - Athletic
There is no hiding from the fact that Grady Diangana has been a massive miss during his injury for West Brom.
His pace and ability to glide past opponents was a great weapon in the final third, and the Baggies have lost that - something which has contributed to their dip in form which has seen them drop to second.
Things aren't any better at his parent club, West Ham, who have just had to appoint David Moyes after the sacking of Manuel Pellegrini.
The Atheltic journalist Steve Madeley has recently revealed that recent events at West Ham United have thrown his future up in the air at the Hawthorns.
"Adding an extra attacking option will be a priority in any event but the potential loss of Grady Diangana to a loan recall by West Ham would inevitably make the need more acute," Madeley wrote.
"While Manuel Pellegrini remained in charge at the London Stadium, Albion were confident that Diangana would stay. Now, with David Moyes back at the helm, uncertainty prevails.
"Much will hinge on Bilic’s strong relationship with the West Ham hierarchy and his ability to convince them that recalling Diangana would not change their season but could do serious harm to the player’s development."
That would leave Slaven Bilic and his Baggies side considerably weaker, and if this recent form is anything to go by - that cannot happen.
Moyes could certainly use Diangana this season too. The young winger has been superb in the Midlands, and the Hammers attacking options have clearly not been good enough so he could change their fortunes.
