Ali Al-Hamadi is expected to have a medical at Stoke City after a move to West Brom collapsed, according to John Percy.

The Telegraph journalist reported on 24 January that the Potters are pushing to sign the striker from Ipswich Town with a loan or permanent deal now possible.

The 22-year-old is now expected to undergo medical tests with Mark Robbins' side on Friday (24 January) if terms can be agreed with the Tractor Boys.

This comes just three days after the Baggies failed to sign the Iraq international after a move to The Hawthorns collapsed [East Anglian Daily Times].

Stoke push to sign Ali Al-Hamadi after West Brom deal collapsed

Tony Mowbray's side are in desperate need of a striker in B71 after Josh Maja suffered an injury setback and Daryl Dike remains out.

The Ipswich forward looked likely to be the man for the Albion in a return to Championship action after featuring across 125 minutes of Premier League football this season.

A deal was called off but now there is every chance that the former Wimbledon striker could come back to haunt the Baggies if he completes a move to Stoke.

With 18 games remaining in the season and a playoff spot up for grabs, Mowbray and Co. will hope that Al-Hamadi doesn't prove them wrong as a regular scorer in the Potteries.
