Sassuolo midfielder Uros Racic has completed his medical ahead of a loan to West Brom, according to DOOD.

The reliable news outlet reported on 21 August that there are some details still left to iron out in the loan deal for the 26-year-old.

The Serbia international is on the cusp of sealing a move to the Hawthorns ahead of the transfer deadline.

West Brom will be hoping for no late snags in the Uros Racic deal

The Baggies' acquisition of Racic on loan from Sassuolo could be a strategic move to bolster their midfield.

At 26, the Serbian brings a blend of experience and physical presence with his towering height, ideal for the Championship's physical demands.

His background as a defensive midfielder who can also play slightly advanced offers tactical flexibility, which Carlos Corberan might exploit to enhance defensive solidity or transition play.

Racic's ability to play both attacking and defensive roles could be pivotal in Corberan's system, known for its tactical fluidity and emphasis on possession.

His experience in various leagues, including La Liga with Valencia, suggests he can adapt quickly, potentially becoming a key figure in midfield control.

However, the deal's structure, involving a loan with an obligation to buy, indicates West Brom's commitment to him long-term, provided he fits into their immediate plans without any last-minute complications.
