West Brom are looking increasingly likely to miss out on the signing of Juventus ace Joseph Nonge Boende, according to Sacha Tavolieri.

The Belgian journalist reported via X on Saturday (17 August) that Albion are still awaiting an answer from Juve, with Nonge himself undecided.

The Baggies are reported to have held formal talks last week [Sacha Tavolieri, 13 August], but a deal now looks less likely than it did back then.

Tavolieri said: "WBA's still waiting for Juventus answer while Joseph Nonge Boende seems focusing on other priorities…

"West Bromwich Albion still wants Nonge but there’s a feeling things are stagnating and that a deal’s more unlikely today than 3 days before. Let's Wait & See…"

West Brom cannot wait much longer for Joseph Nonge Boende

Supporters were excited when talk first surfaced of Nonge being a target for the Baggies earlier this week.

More than that, word was that the initial talks were positive and a deal looked more than possible.

However, this latest update suggests that Nonge may well be playing Albion to try to find another club.

The player cannot be blamed for holding out for more offers before deciding on who he wants to join.

However, Albion also cannot afford to wait much longer for the teenager to make a decision on his future.

There are now just two weeks of the transfer window to go, and every day is therefore precious for the Baggies.

If Nonge is not committed to joining, it makes sense to move on and look at other targets.
