West Brom are still in need of several new additions before their campaign gets underway next week.

Three new arrivals have checked in at The Hawthorns, though Ryan Mason will be well aware of the need for several more before the window slams shut at the start of September.

With uncertainty over the future of Devante Cole and Karlan Grant, the Baggies may be in the market for a new striker.

Taking that into account, West Brom are now said to have launched a multi-million bid to sign a forward who reached double figures for goals last season.

Chris Ramos emerges as West Brom target

Chris Ramos scored 10 goals for Cadiz in the second division in Spain last season, and his form has attracted interest from several clubs.

One of those is said to be West Brom, with Matteo Moretto reporting via X (31 July) that the Baggies have launched a £2.1million bid for the striker.

La Liga outfit Real Oviedo have offered £1.7m, giving Albion the upper hand in the race to sign the 28-year-old forward.

Cadiz are in a strong position to negotiate for his transfer, with Ramos still having three years left on his deal.

Maja needs someone to take the weight off his shoulders

Ever since Maja picked up an injury, West Brom's goal threat has been minimal, and while his return will be a boost, he needs support.

Daryl Dike has been unable to provide that, and the questions over the future of those remaining will only amplify those needs.

The hope will be that Aune Heggebo can hit the ground running after his summer arrival, though it seems Albion are still looking to add another forward to their squad.
