West Brom: Isaac Price fits the bill as West Ham eye new transfer
West Brom star Isaac Price could be a target for West Ham this summer.
Price had an up and down campaign for the Baggies, but still managed to notch eight goals and three assists in 46 league matches.
The Northern Irishman is set to attract interest in the summer transfer window, so the Baggies may have a fight on their hands.
The Hammers are understood to be on the lookout for new players in the engine room after their relegation to the Championship.
Price has emerged as a potential option for the London Stadium side, as they look to secure an immediate Premier League return.
West Brom's resolve may well be tested in the coming weeks, if interest is acted upon.
West Ham could make Isaac Price move
Baggies star Price could be primed for a move to the Hammers this summer, it has been claimed.
A report from ExWHUEmployee, via the West Ham Way, on 8 June claims that he fits the bill.
It states the East London outfit's strong links with Northern Ireland mean that they may look to sign The Hawthorns ace.
He said: "West Brom’s Isaac Price is another who has generated a lot of interest in him although his side struggled in the Championship last season.
"West Ham have strong links with Northern Irish players and Price is another that fits a bill.”
Why West Brom can't sanction Price exit to Championship rivals
West Brom can't afford to lose Price to another club in the Championship, especially one that is in the promotion race.
The Throstles are hoping to be up there themselves, after a miserable campaign last time out, and will not want to strengthen Nuno Espirito Santo's team.
An exit for Price may well be on the cards if the Baggies' financial issues are not sorted, but it should be to a club that are not in the same division.
In an ideal world, he stays and the Black Country club get the best out of him, but if a departure happens, it must be to a higher league, where he can't come back to haunt Albion.
If the Irons come forward with an offer, the B71 club should reject it out of hand, regardless of the money that they want to pay and if it is over the odds.
They can't be giving players away to teams who they will hope to fighting with for surpremacy in the second tier this season.
