West Brom star Daryl Dike has sent a message to former teammate Erik Pieters after he completed a move to Luton Town.

The 36-year-old featured 22 times for the Baggies last season and has now joined the Hatters on a short-term deal.

The former Stoke City man had taken time away from football after his contract with Albion expired as his wife was diagnosed with breast cancer.

He has now returned to the Championship and Dike commented on Pieters' Instagram post with a two-word message, saying: "Love that" with three heart emojis.

West Brom need Dike back

The American forward suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in February and then suffered another setback in November that will likely keep him out until after the new year.

However, Carlos Corberan needs the striker to come back firing as his side have won just two of their last 13 games.

In that time, they have had five goalless draws, which has left the Spaniard under heavy pressure at The Hawthorns.

Josh Maja and Karlan Grant have contributed to 15 of the Baggies league goals so far this season.

Alex Mowatt is the next best with four, then Jayson Molumby with two and three other players with one.

Corberan's side are not scoring enough and desperately need the American forward back to add more goals as they seek to secure a playoff place.
