West Brom react to Caleb Taylor bid in new multi-million exit update
Caleb Taylor has established himself as one of West Brom's brightest young prospects in recent years.
The centre back has been handed intermittent first-team opportunities over the last few seasons and spent the majority of the 2024/25 campaign on loan in League One with Wycombe.
Taylor was briefly recalled from his loan in Buckinghamshire in January, and he returned to the fold with his parent club by notching their only goal in a crushing FA Cup defeat to Bournemouth.
After such a promising season last time out, there is plenty of optimism that Taylor may be one of the youngsters on who Ryan Mason can work his magic, if he sticks around.
Millwall have a bid rejected for Taylor
Taylor is expected to be allowed to impress in the first team by Mason, after he recently penned a new four-year deal at his boyhood club.
He has been earmarked for big things at The Hawthorns for some time, but his latest deal seemingly hasn't put a stop to the interest in him from elsewhere.
The Baggies' Championship rivals Millwall are understood to have seen a bid rejected for Taylor, according to talkwba on X (28 June).
The value of the Londoners' bid remains unclear, but it has been deemed as unsatisfactory by West Brom.
It is believed that they value the 22-year-old in the region of £2.5-3million.
West Brom need to keep hold of Taylor
Taylor may not have established himself in the first-team squad at The Hawthorns just yet, but that could be about to change under Mason.

The Baggies' new boss has a fantastic reputation when it comes to developing younger players, and that should prove invaluable to the likes of Taylor and Josh Griffiths, who will be looking to break through after spending time out on loan.
When you factor in the likes of Isaac Price and Tom Fellows, the West Midlands outfit are quietly building a core of some pretty exciting young talent, and it would be a shame for them to lose someone like Taylor at this stage of his development.
If they nurture him properly and hand him the minutes he will need to improve, then they could be in line to make a lot more than just £2.5m in a few years.
