What Felix Horn Myhre has said about Aune Heggebo as West Brom move edges closer

Felix Horn Myhre will have an easy link to help ease into life at West Bromwich Albion in Aune Heggebo.

A deal for the midfielder is continuing to move closer as James Morrison's side look to add new arrivals before their first competitive game of the season.

That will take place against Rotherham on 8 August and Myhre could be available for selection if the deal can be completed and confirmed in the next few days.

Whether or not he would be selected to start would remain up in the air as he looks to settle into his new club.

But with a history already existing with current Baggies striker Heggebo, that would provide a boost to his integration.

And the Norwegian forward is seemingly on Myhre's mind ahead of his prospective move to the Midlands.

How Felix Horn Myhre feels about playing with Aune Heggebo again

West Brom have won the battle for Myhre, despite plenty of opposition in the race.

It is a significant boost for Morrison's men, who will be hoping to start the season in strong fashion.

Now, as shared by Norwegian outlet TV2, Myhre is on his way to The Hawthorns, with a link-up with fellow national Heggebo on his mind.

Myhre is quoted as saying: "It'll be cool. A really tough league and a lot of very good teams. It's a cool club, and it'll be nice to see Aune [Heggebø] again."

The Norwegian duo spent four years at Brann before Heggebo made his move last summer.

Now, Myrhe is set to follow him offering him an immediate link inside a new dressing room.

How well does Myhre know Heggebo?

Moving to a new country can always be daunting but for Myhre, he will have the benefit of having a friend to help ease him in.

The two Norwegians have plenty of history together, with the pair sharing the pitch countless times over the years.

According to Transfermarkt, they have been on the pitch at the same time for the same side in 121 matches.

It is a pairing that has also seen plenty of success in the past, with Myhre and Heggebo averaging a 2.11 points per game total together.

Additionally, they have combined for a goal on six separate occasions. So, Heggebo is certainly a player that Myhre knows very well.

And Morrison will be looking to use that existing relationship on the pitch to his advantage.
