West Bromwich Albion Football Club Women

West Brom Women were founded in the late 1980s but didn’t become affiliated with West Bromwich Albion officially until 2004/05 when they became a part of the WBA Community Programme.

In 2009, The Albion Foundation incorporated the women’s team under the name of Sporting Club Albion Ladies before they returned to being called West Bromwich Albion FC Women in 2016/17 after winning the Women’s Premier League Northern Division and the Birmingham Ladies County Cup.

West Brom Women were incorporated by the Baggies completely in June 2024 by owners Bilkul Football WBA after previously operating as a separate company.

Albion Women are currently competing in the FA Women’s National League North, the third tier of English women’s football, with Siobhan Hodgetts-Still as manager. Hodgetts-Still was made the first full-time head coach of the Women’s team in February 2025.

The Baggies have played their home games at Redditch United’s Valley Stadium since the start of the 2023/24 season after previously playing at Hednesford Town’s Keys Park.

In March 2022, West Brom Women played their first game at The Hawthorns when they lost 3-1 to Wolves in front of 1,275 fans.

West Brom Women manager

Hodgetts-Still has been in charge of West Brom Women since July 2023.

She’d previously been a women’s development officer at Kidderminster Harriers before arriving in the Black Country in March 2019 as a coordinator for The Albion Foundation.

After three years with the Foundation, she became the Women Development team’s head coach in May 2022 and 14 months later, she was put in charge of the first team.

In February 2025, Hodgetts-Still was appointed as West Brom’s first full-time Women’s manager as Bilkul Football WBA began to turn the women’s team into a full-time, professional team.
