David Prutton predicts West Brom v Cardiff

Sky Sports pundit David Prutton has predicted another speed bump in the road for West Brom when they host Cardiff on Saturday.

West Brom dropped into third after losing 1-0 in a battling display against Leeds at Elland Road on Tuesday.

However, Prutton thinks that Cardiff will take a point back from The Hawthorns.

“West Brom’s defeat at Leeds in midweek means the final unbeaten start in the Championship is over!” Prutton said on the Sky Sports website.

“Although they will still be feeling positive after a good performance at Elland Road.

“Cardiff have been excellent at home but not so good on the road this season. They are without a win in five away games so far, but I think they can cause West Brom enough problems to nick a draw.”

Cardiff have struggled since being relegated from the Premier League last season and are currently in 10th, although they’re only three points behind West Brom.

The bookies don’t agree with Prutton and make the home side big favourites to come out on top. West Brom are odds on to take all three points, while the draw and an away win are both around 3/1.

The last time the two sides met was at The Hawthorns in the Premier League back in 2014 when the score ended 3-3.
