Injured West Brom duo have summer to recover

West Brom ended the 2025-26 Championship season with a disappointing 2-1 loss to Sheffield Wednesday, coming on the back of a 10-game unbeaten run that saw James Morrison keep the Baggies in the division and land the manager’s job permanently.

Manager’s Note: Both players are expected to return for pre-season training ahead of the new campaign.

Jed Wallace returned late on at Hillsborough after six weeks or so on the sidelines, leaving Mikey Johnston and Krystian Bielik as Albion’s only injury absentees heading into the summer, though both players are expected to be fit in time for pre-season.

Nat Phillips and Jayson Molumby were not part of the final matchday squad, but Morrison insisted that was just precautionary, while Chris Mepham was fit but just not considered for selection.
