'Wowza', 'Different level' - These West Brom fans blown away by 'baller' v Middlesbrough

West Brom fans gave flocked to Twitter to heap praise on Grady Diangana for his role in their side’s 1-0 win over Middlesbrough on Saturday afternoon.

The Baggies had looked on course to drop two points on Teeside before an 82nd minute strike from Hal Robson-Kanu settled the battle and helped them secure their place at the top of the Championship table.

It was Diangana who essentially created that goal, however, with a typically tricky piece of play out wide and good persistence to ensure that he was able to get a cross into the box. After a little piece of fortune and a block shot, the ball fell to Robson-Kanu and Albion took the spoils.

At this stage, supporters shouldn’t be surprised in the slightest that the 21-year-old was able to put in such an eye-catching turn.

So far this season he has been directly involved in seven goals, scoring four and assisting three, while his average of 3.6 successful dribbles and 2.5 key passes per 90 minutes, as per Whoscored, are a clear indication of just how dangerous he can be in the final third.

Factor in an average match rating of 7.46, the third highest in the Championship this season, and it’s blatant that the youngster has not only been one of the signings of the campaign, but is a real contender for the best player in the division.
