West Brom winger Matt Phillips has not suffered a serious injury, according to The Athletic journalist Steve Madeley.
Phillips, 28, missed Albion’s 1-0 win against Middlesbrough at The Riverside on Saturday with Filip Krovinovic coming into Slaven Bilic’s starting line-up and replacing the absent Scotland international.
After the game, Madeley revealed via his personal Twitter account that he spoke to Phillips about why he did not play and it is understood that the attacker simply has a knock.

It is good news for West Brom fans that Phillips has not suffered a long-term injury because the former QPR winger missed a lot of matches last season due to fitness issues.
Phillips made 33 appearances across all competitions last term, missing 16 Championship fixtures in total.
In the opening months of this term, the Scottish ace had started every league match up until the trip to Middlesbrough, scoring four goals in 11 appearances.
It remains to be seen how long Phillips is going to be sidelined for with this knock but if it was simply just a kick to his shin that ruled him out of the win versus Boro, there is a good chance he will be in contention to play against Barnsley at The Hawthorns on Tuesday night.
