‘100%’ – Some West Brom fans urge club to sort out new contract for attacker

Kyle Edwards might not be a regular feature in the West Brom starting line-up at the moment but that has not stopped a section of fans from urging the club to get the attacker tied down to a new deal.

The 21-year-old’s current contract is set to expire at the end of the season [transfermarkt] and that has led to a discussion on Twitter about whether or not he deserves to be offered fresh terms by the Baggies.

Edwards turns 22 in February so is hardly classed as one of Albion’s up-and-coming youngsters anymore.

However the Dudley-born forward still only has 25 first-team appearances to his name so is still seen as one of the rookies among Slaven Bilic’s squad at The Hawthorns.

It is still worth getting Edwards tied down to a new contract though.

The England Under-20 international is yet to reach his potential and if West Brom get promoted this season, you get the feeling that a loan spell away from The Hawthorns – back in the Championship – could be hugely beneficial.

The Baggies can only do that if Edwards is under contract though, which is why it is still worth putting faith in the 21-year-old and offering him fresh terms.

These West Brom fans all agree:

In other West Brom news, Bilic is predicted to make two changes for the clash with Sheffield Wednesday this weekend.
